1. What is ‘Besa’ and how does it affect my stay?

Besa is our ancient code of honor. It means “to keep a promise.” In the context of your stay, it is our commitment that you are not just a tenant, but a guest of the house. We take personal responsibility for your safety, comfort, and experience from the moment you land.

2. Is Albania safe for international travelers?

Absolutely. Albania is consistently ranked as one of the safest countries in Europe. Our culture is deeply family-oriented and protective of guests. Whether you are a solo traveler or a family, you will find the local community to be incredibly welcoming.

3. Do I need cash, or are cards accepted?

While larger supermarkets and modern restaurants in Tirana take cards, Albania is still very much a “cash-preferred” society, especially in smaller towns and for transport. We recommend carrying some Albanian Lek (ALL) for local markets and traditional tavernas.

4. What is included in the “Green” commodity standard?

Our properties prioritize sustainability without sacrificing luxury. This means high-speed internet, organic local toiletries, geothermal cooling systems, and a kitchen stocked with artisanal Albanian products like olive oil and mountain tea.

5. Is the water safe to drink?

While our homes are equipped with modern plumbing, we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water.

6. When is the best time to visit?

The “Golden Months” are April–June and September–October, where the weather is perfect for both hiking and swimming. However, if you enjoy the vibrant energy of the Mediterranean summer, July and August are spectacular.

7. What if I need help during my stay?

You will have a dedicated local host available 24/7 via WhatsApp. Whether you need a restaurant recommendation, a translator, or help with the property, we are a message away.
